Make a difference in the lives of people in Durham’s West End. Volunteer with us!
Local residents, students, retirees, and others all serve with the West End Community Foundation (WECF), which offers a variety of social programs and manages the Community Family Life & Recreation Center at Lyon Park.
Here are some ways you can get involved, too:
Tutor local students or provide enrichment programs at our afternoon or Saturday education programs.
Pack or deliver food boxes for our free market every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.
Lead a program on cooking, art, or something else, or assist in some other way with our “mature adults” program.
Organize an enrichment program on science, technology or another STEAM topic for our summer camp, or just help out with the campers.
Share your expertise in fundraising, marketing, communications or some other field.
WECF depends on volunteers who want to serve their neighbors and community. You can make an impact, too. We welcome your help and will try to make your volunteer experience productive, enjoyable, flexible and fun.
